We are a community choir, independent of The Borough Market (Southwark) but a group of staff, trustees, traders and customers; all connected by a love of food! Founded in 2011 to perform at a community concert at The Shakespeare's Globe, the choir was inspired to continue performing. Today we sing all around SE1 (and beyond!), including the Tate Modern, The Southbank Centre and Shakespeare's Globe. We have taken part in flash mobs, collaborated with local artists and theatre directors, and performed together within our community.

Sonnet Sunday at The Globe
On Sonnet Sunday, the Globe Isle becomes home to all 154 of Shakespeare’s sonnets. The Dark Ladies, Sweet Youths and Saucy Jacks of our sonnet ensemble will haunt the building, hidden in the secret nooks and capering on the familiar stages of the Globe.
Brexit Big Band in Romaeuropa, Rome
Musicians, singers, choruses and solos get together
on stage in a vast, unique, band. The result, more than a concert, is a rave/demonstration, an explosive and sharp musical to celebrate the union between people, artists and music.
“I love singing/performing because it makes me smile. The people I have met through singing share the same enthusiasm I do and they're friends for life I believe. Borough Market Choir was the first place I made friends with people from London outside of work, and it's because we all love the same thing!”
